Certiport Authorized Testing Center

Uinta B.O.C.E.S. #1 is a Certiport Testing Center and is currently administering the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) on Microsoft 2016 Tests.

(Training for the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) is available through Uinta B.O.C.E.S. #1’s Professional Training Classes.)

Certiport is a division of Pearson VUE but is not a part of the VUE testing system.  Uinta B.O.C.E.S. #1 administers Microsoft Office Specialist Certiport Tests in Office 2016.

Test candidates purchase a voucher for the test(s) they want directly from Certiport (Certiport.pearsonvue.com) at a cost of $100 per test or $120 per test with a retake option.

Purchasing a voucher does not schedule a test.  Test candidates make an appointment to take a Certiport test directly with the Testing Department of Uinta B.O.C.E.S. #1.  Uinta B.O.C.E.S. #1 charges a separate $15 test administration fee.

The Microsoft Office Specialist Program provides industry-leading assessments of skills and knowledge through project-based testing, giving students and professionals real-world exercises to appraise their understanding of Microsoft Office.  This guarantees that every certified user has demonstrated the ability to command the full features and functionality of Microsoft Office, preparing them for future academic or workforce opportunities.

Exams are primarily performance-based and conducted in a “live” or simulated, environment.  Exam candidates are asked to perform a series of tasks to clearly demonstrate their skills.  For example, an Office Word exam might ask a user to balance newspaper column lengths or keep test together in columns.

A typical exam takes up to 90 minutes.  Individual efforts are measure for both knowledge and efficiency.
