Let Uinta BOCES #1 Education Center help you become a more confident and competent driver. Students will receive 34.5 classroom hours, 6 hours behind the wheel, and 6 hours of observation. Driving time will be scheduled on an individual basis. The last 4.5 hours of this course will be presented by the Wyoming Highway Patrol, and is required as part of Drivers’ Education.
“Alive at 25” is a survival course for drivers ages 15-24, and is designed to teach young drivers to take responsibility for their own behavior. It is the only course of its kind in the nation taught exclusively by law enforcement officers. “Alive at 25” directly addresses the most common causes of crashes involving young drivers; speeding; impaired driving; lack of awareness of the consequences of risk-taking behavior; inexperience with the complexities of driving; and distractions and pressure from peers in the vehicle. At the conclusion, each student will receive a certificate from Alive at 25.
Some insurance companies offer additional discounts to drivers who successfully complete Alive at 25. Check with your own insurance company for more information on this. You may sign up for Alive at 25 with or without taking Driver’s Education.
