Need Financial Aid?

TRiO Educational Opportunity Center is a federal program funded through a grant from the US Department of Education. 

The goal of the programs is to assist youth and adults who are low-income, first-generation, or have a disability to enroll in and complete a college program.  They are designed to support and motivate students’ progress through the academic pipeline from middle school through college. The programs include Talent Search, Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math/Science, Veterans’ Upward Bound, Student Support Services, Educational Opportunity Centers, the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program, and Training Grants.

The Educational Opportunity Center Coordinators Can . . .

  • Help explain the financial aid process and help you apply for aid.
  • Provide assistance with online FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
  • Assist with scholarship searches and editing scholarship essays.
  • Be your financial aid advocate!
  • Help complete admission requirements to colleges, universities, or vocational schools of your choice.

“The overall data analysis suggested that Student Support (TRiO) program services had a positive effect on increasing student’s two-year degree attainment, persistence to completion of an educational goal, certificate completion, and transfer to four-year University rates compared to those students who do not receive Student Support (TRiO) program services.”
