TRiO Educational Opportunity Center is a federal program funded through a grant from the US Department of Education.
The goal of the programs is to assist youth and adults who are low-income, first-generation, or have a disability to enroll in and complete a college program. They are designed to support and motivate students’ progress through the academic pipeline from middle school through college. The programs include Talent Search, Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math/Science, Veterans’ Upward Bound, Student Support Services, Educational Opportunity Centers, the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program, and Training Grants.
The Educational Opportunity Center Coordinators Can . . .
- Help explain the financial aid process and help you apply for aid.
- Provide assistance with online FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
- Assist with scholarship searches and editing scholarship essays.
- Be your financial aid advocate!
- Help complete admission requirements to colleges, universities, or vocational schools of your choice.
