Anxiety Management & Relief

We will learn more about what anxiety really is, and practice some techniques to manage it. Breathing, relaxation, positive self-talk, and learning to redirect the mind are just some of the tools we will learn to alleviate and possibly eliminate anxiety altogether.

Building Your Emotional Intelligence

What is Emotional Intelligence (EQ)? Why is it important? How important is it? Can it be improved? How can it be improved? Unless you work in a vacuum, you have to deal with people — all kinds of people. Using emotional intelligence skills, you’ll gain the ability to more appropriately respond to the world around you and eliminate the stress and frustration that often comes from working with others. This class will introduce you to emotional intelligence skills that you most need to create an action plan to grow stronger and more resilient.

Cell phones, the internet, and video games can be wonderful resources for fun or to make our lives easier. But, when do they go too far? This presentation will examine potential pitfalls in our connected life. We will look at how to determine if electronics are starting to cause problems with relationships or interfering with our happiness. We will also talk about ways to regain and maintain balance in our lives, so our cell phones and other electronics serve us instead of us serving them.
