Basic Computers

This is a very basic introduction to using Windows computers. It is designed for beginning computers users. You will learn how to turn the computer on and off, open programs as well as use the mouse and keyboard. This class will cover saving, opening and finding files, using a printer and a brief introduction to the Internet.

How to Take Photos and Videos With a Smart Phone and Tablet

This class will introduce you to taking pictures and videos with your smart phone or tablet. In addition to taking the pictures, you will learn how to move photos from the device to a computer and you'll learn how to edit and manipulate the images. We will also cover how images can be copied to the Internet and emailed. Please bring your smart phone and/or tablet to class.

Beginning Microsoft Publisher

Microsoft Publisher is a program that is used to make brochures, newsletters, business cards, calendars, flyers, greeting cards, labels, postcards, forms, letterheads and more.  In this class, you will learn how to create and edit publications. Basic computer skills are required.

Beginning Adobe Photoshop CS6 (2 Night Class)

Adobe Photoshop is the world-standard image editing solution for print and web design. In this hands-on introductory class you'll learn how to use this powerful application to create, edit and modify imagery for print reproduction, website use, and personal display. The class emphasizes the basic vocabulary and concepts of computer image modification. Basic computer skills are required.

This class will help you get up to speed on Windows 10. You will learn how to open programs (or aps) and how to navigate in desktop and start mode. If you don’t already have Windows 10 you will learn about getting a free upgrade to Windows 10.

QuickBooks Accounting for Home and Small Business

QuickBooks is the most popular accounting software for small businesses. QuickBooks is used to create estimates and invoices, receive payments, pay bills and manage payroll and more. This one day class covers the fundamentals of using QuickBooks to track the finances of a small business. You will learn how to set up a new company, manage bank account transactions, maintain customer and vendor information, generate reports, and write and print checks. You will also learn how to create invoices and credit memos, add custom fields, set up budgets, and learn about data backup/protection. Basic computer skills are required.

Are you wondering what the “Cloud” is and how to use it? This introductory class will look at different cloud providers like- Google and Google Docs, One Drive, iCloud, Drop Box and Verizon Cloud. You will learn how to sign up and use these services to keep your pictures and documents backed up and available from many different devices- computers and mobile devices.
